Serang, Banten (ANTARA) - Dr. Ati Pramudji, spokesperson of Banten's COVID-19 Task Force, confirmed here, Wednesday, that patient number 35, a woman aged 57 from Pondok Aren, South Tangerang City, Banten Province, had died of coronavirus (COVID-19).
The Banten governor had received the report on the result of the COVID-19 test of the dead patient from the central government, she stated.
The Banten governor's report proves untrue the information submitted on the visit of the sub-district head and lurah (village head) to the family that is considered a corona suspect.
"Patient number 35 died from coronavirus or COVID-19," she remarked.
The patient died on Monday (March 16).

In fact, the task force received reports submitted by the central government on Monday (March 16) that five Banten residents, including patient no. 35, had tested positive for COVID-19, she noted.
Banten Governor Wahidin Halim declared the coronavirus outbreak in his province as an extraordinary event (KLB) and reminded the public to remain vigilant and stay at home.
"That is why an Extraordinary Event (KLB) has been declared, and a policy has been issued to study from home," he noted.
The local government is currently discussing a possibility of issuing a policy on working from home (WFH) in order to contain the spread of coronavirus in Banten.
He urged the residents of Banten to exercise regularly, consume nutritious food, get ample rest, and avoid crowded places.
"We hope that Banten would soon be free of COVID-19, and those currently undergoing treatment would recover soon," he added.
