Mochamad Yulianto, a political lecturer at the state Diponegoro University in Semarang, said Yokowi as the president elect is popularly called, would likely face strong intervention from the coalition of political parties supporting him.
Jokowi has been consistent in his statement that there was no political deal with the parties joining his coalition including PDIP, Nasdem, PKB, Hanura and PKPI in forming his cabinet if is named president.
He has shown his consistency at least when he refused to coalesce with other political parties on certain political deal before the election on July 9.
Coalescing with more parties would have given greater guarantee for his victory, but at the expense of his integrity and consistency.
He has said his cabinet would be dominated by professionals and experts he chose himself.
A number of other analysts have said it would be difficult to entirely reject intervention from supporting political parties especially as the president would need strong support in the parliament.
The parliament would be dominated by opposition parties Golkar, Gerindra, PAN, PKS, PPP, and Demokrat which have given commitment to support the losing presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto.
Many analysts, however, predicted that the opposition parties would break once Jokowi was officially installed to lead the country for the next five years.
The final result of the presidential election has yet to be made by the Constitutional Court.
The Election Commission (KPU) has named Jokowi and his running mate Jusuf Kalla (JK) the victors with 53 percent of the votes, but Prabowo and his running mate Hatta Rajasa refused to acknowledge defeat.
The Prabowo-Hatta camp has filed a lawsuit with the Constitutional Court against KPU hoping to overturn the KPU decision.
The Constitutional Court is expected to make the final decision only on August 22.
Yulianto said in order to ward off intervention, Jokowi-JK could present the candidates for cabinet members to the public to gain political support from the public.
