Magelang, C Java, ANTARA JATENG - At least six countries will participate in Borobudur Travel Mart and Expo (BTMX), which will be held in Magelang, Central Java Province, Oct 13-15, 2017.

The countries that had confirmed their participation included China, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore and Japan, Sugeng Sugiantoro, chairman of the organizing committee, said here, Monday.

Last year, nine countries took part in the BTMX, he said.

The number of buyers this year is 63 from 56 companies and the number of sellers is 65 from 38 companies.

This year is the fourth BTMX and is organized in cooperation with the Central Java tourism office, related stakeholders, and the media. The event is open to the public.

BTMX is an annual event held to introduce the potential of the industry and tourism products in Central Java to local and international potential buyers.

During the expo, the organizing committee showcases culinary variety, cultural and eco-tourism destinations, hotel service, resorts, culture and traditional arts, and handicraft to local and international potential buyers

The aim is to promote Central Java as an international tourist destination. (f001/  )
