Ahmad Yani International Airport General Manager Priyo Jatmiko said the stormy weather has hampered the Wings Air, Lion Air, and Kalstar to land.

"The Wings Air from Surabaya to Semarang was forced to return to Surabaya's Juanda airport at 9.35 am, Lion Air from Jakarta to Semarang to return to Jakarta at 9.40 am, and Kalstar from Pangkalan Bun to Semarang had to land at Juanda airport in Surabaya at 10.10 an, all on Tuesday," Jatmiko said.

He explained that only three airline companies failed to land but the arrival and departure schedules of other airlines were not disturbed.

According to him, some 29 water pumps had been made ready to anticipate the puddles on the runway of the airport.

"We hope the weather over Ahmad Yani airport will soon be clear and not disturb the flights," he said.
