Purwokerto, ANTARA JATENG - A landslide damaged 13 homes in Gumelar sub-district, Banyumas District, Central Java Province, according to a local official.
"Landslide hit Gumelar sub-district on Sunday at 5:15 p.m. local time, following incessant heavy rain that started at around 2 p.m.," Kusworo, coordinator of a swift emergency reaction team, said here, Monday.
Of the 13 homes, three were seriously damaged, five moderately damaged, and another five slightly affected.
A landslide also cut off a road connecting Kedungurang and Cihonje villages in the district.
The downpour also caused several big trees to fall and triggered a power outage in part of Gumelar area.
