Stationmaster Surono said that train drivers and their co-drivers were subjected to the urine test to ensure security and safety in rail travel, especially during the Lebaran holiday.
"All train drivers and co-drivers who will and have done their tasks were required to undergo the urine test," Surono stated at Purwokerto Station on Saturday.
He pointed out that the urine tests were conducted without the train drivers and their assistants being informed in advance, to detect the possibility of the use of narcotics and psychotropic drugs and to ensure safe travel by trains.
"As many as 60 train drivers and their co-drivers underwent the urine test. They all tested negative," the stationmaster affirmed.
