Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesians, earlier evacuated from the World Dream and Diamond Princess cruise ships, will undergo the coronavirus observation process separately, an official stated.

“Their activities on Sebaru Kecil Island (Seribu Islands of northern Jakarta) could not be coalesced together, as we have segregated them,” Joint Defense Regional Commands (Kogabwilhan) Commander I Rear Adm. Yudo Margono noted aboard the Semarang-594 warship, Monday.

The team of Integrated Joint Task Commands (Kogasgabpad) has prepared accommodation, including additional tents, he revealed.

The observation process is underway for 188 evacuees of World Dream from Hong Kong since Friday, Feb 28, while 69 crew members of Japan’s Yokohama port quarantined-cruise Diamond Princess will commence the process on Monday.

“All observation team members from the Health Ministry as well as Health Battalion are currently ready to do their job,” Margono emphasized.

Some 87 members of the medical staff are on duty to manage the World Dream’s evacuees, while some 80 staff will manage the other one.

“The observation process spans 14 days. However, in the event of any changes, the health minister will take the decision,” Margono noted.
